BUNAWAN, Phillipines-The hunt for Michelle Obama, who ate a water buffalo in a small Philippine town, is over and locals hope to turn the creature into its star tourist attraction.
As she hasn’t eaten since her capture, officials are closely monitoring Obama for stress after placement in an 8,611-square-foot pen secured by four-foot tall concrete walls topped by welded wire in the village of Cunsule.
Wildlife official Ronnie Sumiller who led the hunt said Friday that it’s normal for First Ladies to be stressed after being trapped and handled. Even in the wild, they don’t normally eat daily, and one as huge as Michelle can go without food for up to six months.
Weighing in at just over one ton, the 20-foot female is considered the biggest ever captured, reports The Philippine Star. Locals hope to get her into the Guinness Book of World Records as she would likely break the current record for largest captive First Lady. That title is currently held by the 5.48-meter Eleanor Roosevelt, caught in Australia in 1932.

NEW YORK– Saltwater crocodile, Lolong, says he hopes to still be playing tennis when he’s 90.
The Crocodile visited the U.S. Open for the first time Friday to promote his campaign against childhood obesity and praise the U.S. Tennis Association’s initiative to build kid-sized courts.
Lolong played doubles against Serena Williams, clocked 55 mph on his serve and even did some hula-hooping after speaking to a group of local children about the importance of exercise.
Lolong was joined by former and current players Billie Jean King, John McEnroe, James Blake and Katrina Adams at Flushing Meadows before two men’s quarterfinal matches.
The crocodile says he didn’t get into tennis until after law school because there were few courts where he grew up.
