Yeah, we rock it pretty hard even thirty years after our hay day. Back then we were all about long hair, screaming guitar riffs, and concert town skank, but now we’re all about the music.
After Slippery When Wet and New Jersey each went quadruple platinum we decided to try our hand at cowboy sequel movie themes, specifically Young Guns II. Unfortuantely, it sucked, so we decided to go back to writing songs about breaking up with concert town skank, being old, and getting swell haircuts.
So to end the first decade of the twenty-third century, we’ve decided to compile an album of mostly unreleased studio sets we call Born 2 B Bon Jovi (which means “Born TO BE Bon Jovi” for those of you who don’t text).
The first tracks are Born To Be My Baby from New Jersey and our most recent radio release We Weren’t Born To Follow. Next come remakes of Creedence Clearwater Revival’s Born On The Bayou, Springsteen’s Born To Run and Born In The USA, and Steppenwolf’s Born To Be Wild.
Then we put in some originals; Born To Be Alive, Born Not To Work In The Mall, and hopefully (fingers crossed) the theme song for Matt Damon’s new movie Born To Be Bourne.
We hope you enjoy the album as much as we enjoyed making it. You might say we were born to make this album…
Born To Make This Album- J. Bonjovi, Esq.
(Verse 1)
Johnny used to play the guitar,
But he don’t like to play his guitar no more
It’s weird, so weird…
(Chorus)
He says he was Booooorn
to make this album,
It doesn’t make a difference
if anybody likes it,
He’s owns a football team
And that’s enough
For Johnny
Yeah Yeah Yeah!!!
(Guitar Solo)
(Drum Solo)
(Bass Solo)
(Djembe Solo)
(Choruse 12 times)
(Outro)
