If there was one thing Martin Luther King, Jr. was more passionate about than civil rights, it was popcorn. That’s why all of us here at the National Popcorn Association are so happy to welcome him to our special day.
As you know, January 19th is National Popcorn Day, but this year MLK Day falls on the same date, and we couldn’t be more excited, or eager to exploit the legacy of such a historic visionary. So, in celebration of these two great American icons we’d like to announce the King & Kernels’ Monday March on the Movies.
That’s right! You can enjoy your favorite snack and a movie, while combating ignorance and prejudice just like MLK through your *special purchase at the concession stand.
