An unlikely forerunner in the Gavin Newsome recall is reaching out to fellow immigrants to spread his message across the state. Allen Chestburster, first threw his hat into the political forum as a Democratic challenger to then President Obama’s 2nd term.
Chestburster has raised more money than any other Democratic candidate, having sold thousands of giant eggs at LA area flea-markets throughout the summer.
”As someone who had to start from the ground up when I came to the United States, I have a better understanding of what my, Latino, Black, xenomorph, and cephalopod brothers are up against”, Allen said at a press conference earlier this week.
Not everyone is a fan, however. Actress and activist (or Actressvist) Sigourney Weaver has taken to social media in an almost rabid attempt to smear Chestburster’s reputation.
@SigWea84: “Of course he shouldn’t be Governor! He shouldn’t even have made it through ICC quarantine!!”
“We differ on a number of views”, explained Chestburster. “We have a bit of a history.”
If Chestburster wins the recall, he will be the the 1st sci-fi phenom to hold a blue-state governorship since George Pataki
