After Mitch Comstock, a young man from Provo’s inner city, witnesses his younger brother’s decapatation at a Boys 2 Men reunion concert, he is sent to live with his father’s ex-parole officer in Cletus Flats, WY.
A duck out of water, Mitch quickly finds himself the center of a perilous love triangle when he falls for 17 year old Beatrice Bon Jovi, the sherrif’s common-law wife, and star of the local high school’s production of Brigadoon, who’s stunning performance cannot be fully rewarded due to the township’s law against applause.
In the heartfelt tradition of Footloose, Stomp The Yard, Drumline, Breakin’, Breakin’ 2: Electric Bogalooo, Smokey and the Bandit, and Titanic, this epically original motion picture pits the power of expression against the bondage of inexpression, in a struggle for justice, a quest for freedom, and a battle for one man’s right to CLAP.
