The other day, while I was going to Tecumseh to see J-Rod's baseball game, I saw a used Bobcat 331 Excavator for sale on the side of the road, and it made me realize just how empty my life was because I didn't have one.
I mean, how have I been surviving without my own personal mini-bulldozer? I was still shoveling snow, hand carrying my groceries into the house, and walking around the neighborhood with virtually no mechanized hydraulic assistance. And since the kids keep bugging me for a four-wheeler (and this Bobcat coincidentally has four wheels), I figured win-win!!
So, I took a second mortgage on grandma's house (she's not going to make any money off it in this economy anyway) and purchased this fine piece of machinery, and boy have I been busy. I totally excavated the neighbors' vegetable garden just in case they win the lotto and can get a pool. Then I scraped all the asphalt off my old driveway while the new owners were at work.
This baby tops out at a mind-numbing 3.45 MPH and runs on diesel which is about two cents less per gallon than regular unleaded, so imagine the savings!
