Judging by the success of the Twilight books, the horror/romance genre is picking up some serious steam. Thus, as an ever eager also ran, I’ve come out with my own gore-filled literary series of love and suspense. I call it Chrysanthemummy.
The first book, Bandages of Love, introduces our main characters; Chrystal, a shy teen nurse that falls in love with Bjorn, a shy teen mummy that has been walking (or ambling) the earth for thirteen centuries.
Book two, Sarcophagus of Love, follows our lovers through the many storms of their forbidden romance, and the departure of Bjorn for a stint in the Peace Corps.
Books three through sixteen, the Lost Mummy Chronicles, deal alot with character backgrounds; nursing schools, enbalming, plagues, and lip gloss. I don’t really recommend reading them. They’re a little stale and I was in a serious funk when I wrote them.
The last book, Bandages of Love II, brings the love tossed couple back together for the climactic, romance infused conclusion.
*Ironic Teaser: Chrys finds a cure for mumminess, but has to become a mummy to get it!!
