Experts were left baffled when Lunar Rover, Yutu 2, snapped a picture of a strange cube-shaped object from a distance roughly 260 feet (80 meters) away in November.
The object has been dubbed “mystery house” until experts can get a better look to determine whether it’s classic Colonial, Tudor or, quite possibly, a townhouse. As the house in located in a gated community, the rover has not been able to get a closer shot due to security patrols and a particularly diligent Neighborhood Watch.
“It might take some time,” says Andrew Jones, a spokesperson for China’s space program who named the lunar rover after his U2 cover band, “but eventually someone will leave the gate by the Pickle Ball court open, and we’ll get a better look.
