Did you see Cher totally slam those Academy Award jerks who dissed Diane Warren’s You Haven’t Seen the Last Of Me? It’s the theme song for the cinematic masterpiece, Burlesque; a heart warming tale of an Iowa bar-skank that trades it all in for the glitz and glamor of the Sunset Strip, only to have her dreams doused by a certain dark haired Diva, forcing her to move in with a guy who’s engaged to someone else, which ironically endears her to Cher, who gives her a chance to sing on stage, after which she sleeps with engaged guy, and they all live happily ever after!
At least that’s what I got from the Wikipedia site, because my wife won’t let me actually see it after what happened when I saw Chicago.
I guess Cher was super upset about Warren’s song not receiving an Oscar nomination, and not just because Cher sang it or that it’s her last chance to get an Oscar before she melts. So she was like, “Oh no, you didn’t!” and they were like, “Oh, yes we did!” and she was like, “OH, NO YOU DI’NT!!” and they were like “Geez Cher, get over yourself.”
FACTOID: last time the two collabarated was on Cher’s first comeback song, If I could turn back time. It was such a huge success that it hit number 1 in Australia and Norway, and not in the US!
