Oldest Active Pilot Breaks Multiple Records

PLACERVILLE, Calif. – A 95-year-old Northern California man has become the world’s oldest active pilot. The Sacramento Pointless Press reported Tuesday that Guinness World Record keepers confirmed that a flight last month by Peter Weber Jr. qualified him for the record book.

Weber was 95 years, 4 months and 23 days old when he flew three looping circles around an airfield near Sacramento on March 30. Guinness lists Weber as the oldest qualified pilot still licensed and flying solo. The Air Force veteran has been a pilot for 72 years and says he flies about twice a month as far as he knows.

In related news, 95 year old pilot, Peter Weber Jr. crashed his plane today, becoming the Guinness World Record’s oldest qualified still licensed and flying solo pilot to die in a solo plane crash. The previous record was held by Merv Johnson of Desmoines, IA, when he plunged into a Nebraska cornfield at the age of 88.

In more related news, Guiness World Record holder, Peter Weber Jr. became the youngest solo pilot to kill more than thirty innocent bystanders by running his plane into a circus.
